Minter Ellison appoints Tony Harrington AM as chief executive
Minter Ellison has appointed Tony Harrington AM as its new chief executive from 1 July 2014. Harrington will commence with the firm on 22 April 2014 to start the process of transition.
Well known in Australia and Asia, Harrington joins Minter Ellison following a distinguished career in financial and professional services.
He was Australian senior partner and chief executive of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for eight years from 2000 to 2008. He subsequently took on the role of global managing partner, strategy and transformation, at PwC.
Most recently, he has been a managing director of global investment bank Moelis & Company.
Harrington was appointed a member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2011 in recognition of his charitable work.
His appointment follows a domestic and international executive search and was approved by a partnership vote.
