Mills & Reeve partner Nigel Shepherd is appointed vice-chair of Resolution
Nigel Shepherd, a partner in Mills & Reeve’s family and matrimonial team, has been appointed vice-chair of national family law organisation Resolution.
As vice-chair, Shepherd will continue with his role on the association’s national and executive committees. He will also chair the regional liaison committee.
Shepherd will take over as chair in 2016 from current chair Jo Edwards of Pennington Manches in a move that will see him become the only lawyer to have been national chair twice — the last time being in 1995–97. He had previously been chair of Resolution’s Manchester area committee.
Resolution has more than 6,500 family law professional members who subscribe to a code of practice that promotes the constructive resolution of family and disputes. Shepherd will be heavily involved in the organisation’s lobbying, strategy and membership responsibilities.
