Mills & Reeve advises Ubisense on acquisition of Geoplan Interworks
Mills & Reeve has advised Ubisense Group on its acquisition of Japanese company Geoplan Interworks KK for a maximum consideration of JPY564.7m (£3.2m).
The Mills & Reeve team led on the UK aspects of the transaction with support from its SCG Legal relationship firm in Japan, Matsuo & Kosugi, which advised on the transaction from a Japanese perspective.
Ubisense provides end-to-end real-time location solutions to companies, allowing them to track people and assets accurately. For Ubisense, the acquisition of Geoplan Interworks represents a significant step forward as it looks to expand its business into Asia.
Mills & Reeve has advised Ubisense since 2010, most notably through the company’s AIM initial public offering in 2011 and on two other acquisitions since its admission to AIM.
