Memery Crystal chief executive on shortlist for ‘Legal Business Woman of the Year’
Memery Crystal has announced that chief executive and corporate partner Lesley Gregory has been shortlisted by the Law Society Excellence Awards in the category of ‘Legal Business Woman of the Year’.
As one of the few women chief executives at UK law firms, Gregory has led Memery Crystal through several strong financial years, worked to expand the firm’s international offering and encouraged an internal culture focused on diversity and core values — all while maintaining her top-rated corporate practice.
She heads an AIM practice ranked by Morningstar among the top two based on number of AIM-listed clients. She is also one of only five lawyers (and the only woman) ranked ‘Band One’ for AIM by Chambers UK, and the only woman ranked ‘Band One’ for corporate/M&A: mid-market.
The Law Society Excellence Awards recognise the most outstanding legal practitioners in their field and are open to individuals and teams across the entire legal sector.
The shortlist was announced on 7 August 2014. The awards will be presented on 9 October at a ceremony at the Park Plaza Hotel, Westminster Bridge.
