Mark Owen joins Taylor Wessing's international TMT group
Taylor Wessing has announced that it has appointed Mark Owen to its international technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) group.
Owen — previously head of intellectual property, technology and regulatory at Harbottle & Lewis — has been advising clients for more than 25 years on contentious and non-contentious copyright, designs, trademarks, database rights and data privacy issues.
His practice has a particular focus on the digital media and e-commerce sectors and related regulatory matters, especially for US-based new technology and media clients. Recently, Owen has been acting in the Supreme Court for Lucasfilm in the Strormtrooper helmet design case.
