Colin Mackay joined Ogier in 2003 and became a partner in 2006. He is currently the group director for Ogier Fiduciary Services with global responsibility for the funds services business, which comprises of the open-ended and closed-ended funds and real-estate teams.
Prior to joining Ogier, Mackay was the corporate compliance manager at Caledonian Bank & Trust Ltd (Grand Cayman) and also served as an associate with Ritch & Conolly Attorneys (Grand Cayman) and MacRoberts Solicitors (Glasgow, Scotland).
He completed his solicitor’s training with the Scottish law firm Maclay, Murray & Spens. He received his Bachelor of Laws, with honours, from the University of Glasgow, Scotland in 1991 and his diploma in legal practice in 1992.
Mackay is a member of the Cayman Islands Law Society and the Law Society of Scotland and is currently a member of the executive committee of AIMA Cayman.
His key area of expertise is fund services.
