KWM represents CDB in its wind farm project financing in Pakistan
King & Wood Mallesons has represented China Development Bank (CDN) on its financing of a more than $100m term loan facility to Three Gorges First Wind Farm Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd for its construction of the 49.5MW wind farm at Sindh Province in south Pakistan.
The overseas investment project is built on the BOO operation model. It is the first wind farm project invested by Chinese enterprise in Pakistan.
The law firm served as the PRC and Hong Kong counsel to the lender. The team was led by Beijing office partner Liu Zhigang and Hong Kong office partner David Lam. They were supported by the firm’s Beijing and Hong Kong team members, including Su Meng, Lu Shanshan, Wang Hao, Du Rui, Wang Dian, Emma Chan and Cara Sim.
