KPMG member firms receive awards from the Association of Management Consulting Firms
KPMG has announced that member firms have received two awards from the Association of Management Consulting Firms (AMCF).
KPMG’s US member firm, along with the City of New York, took home the corporate responsibility/humanitarian award for its work on Sandy Relief. As a result of the team’s work, contractors were able to make 2,129 homes habitable in five months, with documented savings of $10.4m (£6.2m) to the city as a result of identified instances of fraud, waste and abuse.
The finance/risk management win came for KPMG in the UK’s work with global publisher Elsevier to help transform its finance operations. The team delivered an Oracle-based system that not only significantly improved the efficiency of its finance function, but also provided more insightful and up-to-date management information.
KPMG was also named as a finalist in the following categories:
- Developing markets
- Finance/risk management
- New and digital media
- Supply chain
The AMCF awards are chosen by an independent panel of judges who assess the quality of each submission and rigorously evaluate them against detailed selection criteria in 13 categories.
