KPMG acquires business process management services company SAFIRA
KPMG Portugal SGPS has announced the signing for the planned acquisition of SAFIRA Consultadoria em Informática, SA, a provider of business process management technology services, a transaction which is expected to close in the near-term.
SAFIRA focuses on building innovative enterprise systems leveraging, in particular, IBM BPM and ODM (business process management and operational decision management) software for large multi-nationals around the world.
According to KPMG, the transaction is central to KPMG firms’ strategy of working with clients to understand their issues and provide technology-enabled solutions which help deliver real business benefit. Business process management (BPM) is a holistic approach that promotes business effectiveness, control and efficiency while striving for innovation, flexibility, and integration with technology.
‘The arrival of the SAFIRA team enables us to offer end to end services for our clients’ business transformation programs, from strategy through to implementation,’ said Sikander Sattar, KPMG Portugal senior partner.
