King Wood Mallesons advises Huishang Bank on Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing
King & Wood Mallesons has advised Huishang Bank on its successful listing on the Main Board of Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The listing is a significant milestone for Huishang Bank as it signifies the firm’s move into international capital markets.
The largest city commercial bank in central China, Huishang Bank was established in 2005 and was the first city commercial bank to be formed through a merger of city commercial banks and urban credit co-operatives.
In 2013, Huishang Bank gained support from several cornerstone investors, who agreed to invest and purchase approximately 1.29 billion offer shares.
King & Wood Mallesons acted as the issuer’s PRC legal counsel. This project was led by partners Yang Xiaolei and Su Zheng. Partners Peng Jin and Zhou Ning provided strong support to the project.
