Karanovic hosts discussion on financing of energy and infrastructure in western Balkans
Karanovic & Nikolic recently teamed up with Allen & Overy to create a platform that brought together financers, regulators and industry players to discuss financing and the bankability of energy projects in the western Balkans.
The panel discussion, held in Zagreb on 12 March, 2014, presented issues related to project bankability, the impact of energy laws and regulations on financing structures, energy subsidies and the deal flow of projects for the SEE energy market.
Also discussed was financing and the bankability of energy projects; what amendments the industry would like to see implemented; clearing the gaps where bankability issues arise; EU community obligations; and how to make change happen in order to prepare the Croatian energy sector for a rapid and successful integration into the EU.
