Hogan Lovells advises EDF in relation to bond issue and hybrid financing programme
Hogan Lovells has assisted EDF in relation to its 100-year bond issue in pound sterling, which enabled EDF to raise £1.35bn. The law firm also advised EDF in relation to its hybrid bond issues in three tranches and in two currencies for a total amount of €2bn (£1.6bn) and £750m.
The bond issue is said to be the first of this maturity carried out in pound sterling.
The Hogan Lovells team in charge of this transaction was led by partner Sharon Lewis, global head of international debt capital markets, who worked with Vincent Fidelle (counsel) and Marouane El Idrissi.
Clifford Chance Europe assisted the arranging banks.
