Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has appointed its new global chief information officer (CIO) to replace outgoing chief Paul Domnick.
Richard Harris has been elected with immediate effect to take over the leadership of the firm’s IT team across the firm’s 27 offices. He was previously global head of IT customer services and also the regional IT manager for the US offices based in New York.
Domnick is now senior advisor to the CIO after serving a four year term at the helm of the firm’s IT strategy and team and will be leaving the firm after six months.
The global IT head reports to executive partner Stephan Eilers and the leading member of the 300 IT workers who support the firm.
Domnick was formerly group chief technology officer and deputy head of IT for Zurich Financial Services before joining Freshfields.
