Eversheds Nicea’s competition head talks about cartel enforcement and SMCC activity
On 8 May 2014, Crisanto Perez-Abad, head of the competition law department at Eversheds Nicea, gave a presentation to a number of clients on the latest issues concerning article 1 of the Spanish Competition Act 15/2007.
The presentation focused in particular on cartel enforcement and also covered the most recent activity of the Spanish Markets and Competition Commission (SMCC) in relation to inspections and fines as well as the activity of the courts in relation to reviewing SMCC decisions.
After the presentation, a discussion took place among the different attendees regarding various technical issues.
