Eversheds comments on 244MW South Africa renewable energy projects
Eversheds has commented on the announcement that China’s biggest wind farm operator has won a bid to jointly develop two projects totalling 244MW in South Africa.
Howard Barrie, partner and project finance expert at Eversheds, said: ‘The Africa renewable power story continues to gather pace. While the economics of renewables are often challenging, it is being seriously considered in many parts of the continent as it would bring power to communities that would otherwise be unlikely to benefit from the national power grid during their lifetime.’
