Eversheds advises Zound Industries on investment by TeliaSonera
Swedish telecoms operator TeliaSonera has invested in audio fashion house Zound Industries — which was advised by Eversheds’ Swedish office.
The partnership means that TeliaSonera will acquire a stake in Zound Industries, enabling the telecoms operator to bundle fashion headphones, audio speakers and device accessories together with their mobile telecommunications.
The partnership will give TeliaSonera access to all four of Zound Industries’ brands and also access to its network of designers, collaboration partners and artists. Accessories from Zound Industries are today sold in 20,000 stores across 95 markets.
A current campaign featuring products and services from both parties is running by Telia Sweden, where customers who purchase a mobile phone subscription will also get a Marshall Stanmore loud speaker and a Spotify subscription. This is an example of the kind of bundle the Zound Industries partnership will enable TeliaSonera to offer in all its markets in the future.
Eversheds’ Swedish office advised Zound Industries in the transaction.
