DLA Piper’s Anastasia Kelly features in ‘Trailblazers & Pioneers’ list
DLA Piper has announced that its US co-managing partner Anastasia ‘Stasia’ Kelly has been named to The National Law Journal’s 2014 list of ‘Trailblazers & Pioneers’, which recognises the top 50 legal professionals in the areas of governance, risk and compliance.
The National Law Journal highlighted Kelly’s 15-year career, during which she developed compliance teams and programmes as general counsel for four leading public companies: American International Group; MCI/WorldCom; Sears, Roebuck and Co; and Fannie Mae.
The publication also noted her leading role in launching DLA Piper’s global governance and compliance practice, for which she serves as chair.
Kelly is a mentor to a number of the firm’s women lawyers and is on the leadership committee of the firm’s Law Alliance for Women (LAW), which, among other goals, is committed to the hiring, development and advancement of women lawyers at DLA Piper.
