DLA Piper recognised as leader in venture capital deal volume in Q1 2014 by PitchBook
DLA Piper has been recognised as one of the most active law firms in terms of venture capital (VC) deal volume in the first quarter of 2014, according to the US Venture Industry Report published by PitchBook.
DLA Piper was ranked as the most active firm in late-stage VC deals and the third most active firm in terms of early-stage VC deals during the quarter. In PitchBook’s year-end report for 2013, DLA Piper ranked second for both ‘Most Active VC Law Firms Globally’ and ‘Most Active in the US’.
In the last five years, the firm has consistently ranked among the top law firms in global VC deal volume by Dow Jones Private Equity Analyst. In 2013, the firm reported that it had completed 1,044 financing transactions, including 580 venture capital and 464 private equity deals.
DLA Piper has 200 lawyers in the US and 400 around the world who specifically serve entrepreneurs, technology companies and venture funds by focusing on private equity and venture capital transactions.
