DLA Piper advises Millward Brown on EffectiveBrands deal

DLA Piper has advised Millward Brown, a wholly owned operating company of WPP, on the purchase of the entire issued and outstanding share capital of EffectiveBrands Holding, held by STAK EffectiveBrands.

Millward Brown specialises in brand, media and communications research and operates in more than 55 countries. EffectiveBrands is a marketing strategy consulting company.

The transaction was led from Amsterdam by Daphne Bens, with the assistance of DLA Piper colleagues in the UK, the US, Singapore and Japan.

The Dutch DLA Piper team comprised Bens, Jeroen Kroes, Fleur Westerouen van Meeteren, Thessa van der Windt, Koosje Verdam, Menno Verhaar, Robin de Wit, Stephanie Menz and Marlies Schoonhoven-Sloot.

The UK team consisted of Charles Severs, Ceri Williams-Jones, Jenna Ostrowski and Michael Jones.

The US team consisted David Schwartz, Forrest Neal and Julia Kovacs.

The Singapore team consisted Biswajit Chatterjee and Nisha Menon, while the Japanese team consisted Hajime Iwaki, Masahiko Ishida, Tomomi Fujikouge and Ryo Takizawa.
