DLA Piper advises GE Betz on acquisition of share capital of Monsal
DLA Piper has advised GE Betz on its acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Monsal Holdings for an undisclosed sum.
Monsal is an advanced anaerobic digestion and integrated biogas-to-energy business. The transaction enables GE Betz, which falls under the GE Power & Water arm, to provide customers with more energy-efficient options for water treatment solutions.
This acquisition will enable Monsal to take advantage of the benefits provided by GE’s global platform, including greater access to a wider consumer base and larger-scale R&D capabilities.
The DLA Piper transaction team was led by partner Jim Lavery (Birmingham, corporate) and supported by partner Andrew Davies (Manchester, finance and projects), partner Claire Bennett (London, intellectual property and technology) and associate Rosie Hendon (Birmingham, corporate).
