DLA Piper acts for Avalara in acquisition of Fuelquest’s excise tax software solutions
DLA Piper has represented Avalara, a provider of a cloud-based software platform that delivers compliance solutions related to sales tax and other transactional taxes, in its acquisition of the line of Zytax energy-related tax automation solutions.
Avalara acquired the Zytax offering from FuelQuest, a provider of on-demand software and services for global downstream energy companies.
The DLA Piper team assisting Avalara executive vice-president and general counsel Alesia Pinney was led by Seattle-based partner Megan Muir and included associates Kevin Criddle and Kerra Melvin in Seattle, as well as partners David Plewa and Victoria Lee in Silicon Valley.
