Debevoise & Plimpton advises Verizon on multi-billion-dollar bond offering
Debevoise & Plimpton has advised Verizon Communications in connection with its $49bn (£30bn) bond offering: the largest-ever corporate bond issue.
The deal will help finance Verizon’s acquisition of Vodafone’s 45 per cent interest in Verizon Wireless for $130bn. The offering consisted of a mix of three-year, five-year, seven-year, 10-year, 20-year and 30-year maturities with fixed- or floating-interest rates.
The Debevoise team was led by partner Steven J Slutzky and included partners Peter A Furci, Jeffrey J Rosen and Michael A Diz and associates Erin Cleary, Morgan J Hayes, Adam E Kopald, Verity A Van Tassel Richards and Philip S Voss.
