David Farmer joins DLA Piper's pensions team
DLA Piper has announced the appointment of David Farmer to the pensions team, which forms part of the employment group in London. Farmer joins from Olswang, where he was head of pensions.
He began his legal career as a barrister before re-qualifying as a solicitor and has specialised in pensions law since 1998.
His work covers the full range of pensions law services, with a particular focus on advising companies (both ongoing and in distressed situations) about the management of their pension liabilities.
Farmer’s practice includes contentious matters and he recently successfully advised the scheme employer of one of the UK’s largest pensions funds in relation to a High Court dispute about the implementation of a pensions liability management programme.
