Conyers Dill & Pearman raises $37,091 for Bermuda Red Cross Typhoon Appeal
Conyers Dill & Pearman’s Bermuda office has banded together to donate more than $37,000 (£23,000) to the Bermuda Red Cross in support of the Typhoon Haiyan Appeal.
With contributions from staff, lawyers and the firm’s Staff Benevolent Scheme and Charitable Trust, Conyers presented $37,091 to the Bermuda Red Cross, which when matched by the UK Disasters Emergency Committee could amount to over $74,000 in financial aid for the Philippines.
All funds received by the Bermuda Red Cross will be sent to the British Red Cross to be placed in the UK’s Disasters Emergency Committee Fund. These funds will be matched pound for pound up to a maximum of £5m before being sent to the Philippines.
