Conyers advises on $670m financing of commercial passenger aircraft and leases
Conyers Dill & Pearman has acted for the borrower, RISE, in relation to the financing of an acquisition from affiliates of GECAS of a portfolio of 26 commercial passenger aircraft and their related leases.
It includes the entry into series-A and series-B loans and the issuance of E interests. The transaction is valued at $670m (£400m).
This is a successor deal to 2013’s AABS sale and securitisation, which won Airline Economics’ 2013 Americas Deal of the Year and Global Transport Finance’s 2013 Aircraft Lessor Finance Deal of the Year.
Neil Henderson, Robert Alexander and Alexandra Macdonald from Conyers’ Bermuda office advised RISE on the transaction.
