Andrew Carpenter takes leadership role in Addleshaw Goddard's International Division

Addleshaw Goddard has announced a new leadership role for Andrew Carpenter, who has been appointed divisional managing partner for the newly created International Division.

Carpenter will combine his role as International DMP with his advisory role as a partner in Addleshaw Goddard’s private-equity group and Yunus Seedat will become head of private equity.

Addleshaw Goddard is opening a new overseas office in Hong Kong, taking the number of new overseas offices opened by Addleshaw Goddard since May 2012 to four.

The new International Division has been effective from 1 May.

The division consists of the teams based full time in Addleshaw Goddard’s non-UK offices, together with a number of partners who will be given responsibilities in the International Division, as well as in their existing divisions.

    Number crunching: Addleshaw Goddard

The past five years have not been easy for Addleshaw Goddard. The firm’s revenue fell 7 per cent from £173.1m to £161.9m between 2008/09 and 2010/11 and despite finances looking up in 2011/12, when Addleshaws reported a 30 per cent increase in net profit, it has shown no notable compound growth in turnover since 2007/08.
