Allen & Overy corporate partner Seth Jones seconded to the Takeover Panel
Allen & Overy has announced that corporate partner Seth Jones will be seconded to the Takeover Panel as secretary for two years with effect from 2 September 2013. Jones is the fifth partner from the law firm to be appointed to the position, the two most recent being Richard Hough and Mark Gearing.
The Takeover Panel is an independent UK body that supervises and regulates takeovers and other merger transactions, primarily offers for UK public companies. It aims to ensure that shareholders are treated fairly during takeover bids.
Jones has advised on a range of corporate transactions including public and private mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. He also has a broad international experience having spent three years in Allen & Overy’s Dubai office.
