David Gooding is a professional negligence specialist. This involves handling claims on behalf of insurers and their insureds and advising on policy coverage issues. He has significant experience in defending claims against solicitors and financial professionals such as accountants and IFAs.
Gooding is regularly instructed to handle complex and high value claims, often with multiple parties and which generally involve ADR such as mediation. For example, he very recently led the defence of one of the largest pieces of litigation handled by the firm in respect of a £20 million multi-party claim for fraud and negligence against a firm of solicitors arising out of over 1,000 conveyancing transactions. His practice is also focused on advising insurers on policy coverage issues and leading dishonesty investigations.
