LAW firm Memery Crystal is pitching for work from professional football clubs in an attempt to expand its portfolio of sports clients.
The partnership has already been in contact with several interested teams after displaying its legal skills at an exhibition for football clubs' commercial managers this month.
A spokeswoman says there have already been successful follow-up talks with potential clients after the event at Blackburn Rovers' Ewood Park ground this month.
"We have great experience in this area and we found the event very useful. There has been some positive follow up since."
Memery Crystal has a team of sports specialists which includes three Oxbridge blues: senior partner Peter Crystal, an Oxford boxer, partner Lesley Gregory, hockey at Oxford, and partner Bernard Clarke, a Cambridge rugby player.
Other partners list cricket, football, canoeing and fishing among their interests.
The firm has advised big name clients such as Wembley Stadium, Charlton Athletic and Aston Villa football clubs, Lords and the Oval cricket grounds and the management team of boxer Lennox Lewis.
