Clifford Chance’s US practice has been hit with its second partner loss in less than a week, as its co-leader of the banking and financial restructuring group departs.
Robert Finley, the former managing partner of the pre-merger Clifford Chance New York office, is leaving for King & Spalding.
The announcement of his departure comes just days after Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft revealed that white collar litigation partner Dale Turza will move to its Washington office.
Margot Schonholtz, who has co-led the banking & financial restructuring
group with Finley, will continue to lead the practice.
Overall, the firm has lost nearly 20 partners from the US in just over a year.
Commenting on Finley’s departure, John Carroll, regional managing partner of the Americas said: “We thank Bob for his contributions to serving our clients and wish him the best at his new firm.”
