Finnish firm Hannes Snellman has launched an office in Copenhagen, widening its coverage of the Nordic market.
The Danish office will focus on transactions and conflict management, with plans to grow in M&A, capital markets, and banking and finance.
Philip Risbjørn, head of M&A at Danish firm Bech-Bruun, will lead the office and will be joined on 1 October by partner Amanda Tonsgaard, director at private equity manager Capital Dynamics and a former Bech-Bruun lawyer. Hannes Snellman Helsinki-based M&A partner Mathias Lindqvist will also relocate to Copenhagen.
The firm said that it will announce a further two appointments, from Danish firms, in the near future.
“Our move into Copenhagen is a very important milestone in Hannes Snellman’s Nordic strategy,” said Stockholm managing partner Fredrik von Baumgarten. “To my great satisfaction we’re able to launch the Copenhagen office with dynamic lawyers who are among the very best in Denmark. To me the business rationale is obvious and I really believe that clients will appreciate an integrated one-stop-shop of the highest quality covering the Nordics.”
Hannes Snellman also has offices in Helsinki, Moscow, St Petersburg and Stockholm housing close to 200 lawyers.
