Finance deals round-up

Linklaters (Alejandro Ortiz, Vinay Samani) advised Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria as lead arranger on the establishment and update of the €5bn (£3.37bn) repackaging programme of Atlanteo Capital. It is the first programme arranged by a Spanish bank. Ogier & Le Masurier acted for the special purpose vehicle on aspects of Jersey law.

Weil Gotshal & Manges (Jacky Kelly) represented Barclays Capital in the $750m (£413.5m) issue by Gracechurch Card Funding (No 6) of the securitisation of consumer credit and charge card accounts owned by Barclaycard. Clifford Chance advised Gracechurch Card Funding.

Clifford Chance (Kevin Ingram) acted for Capital One Bank (Europe) on its €630m (£424.6m) securitisation of credit card receivables. Weil Gotshal & Manges advised Barclays Capital and Deutsche Bank as joint lead managers.

Dundas & Wilson (Stephen Phillips) acted for the Bank of Scotland and Royal Bank of Scotland on the provision of $105m (£57.9m) of financing to Edinburgh Oil & Gasfor the development of the Buzzard Field project. The development, with a total cost of £1.3bn, will produce over 400 million barrels of crude oil. Shepherd + Wedderburn (Andrew Kinnes) advised Edinburgh Oil & Gas.

Allen & Overy (Franco Vigliano) is advising project company Societa di Progetto Brebemi on a €1.3bn (£876.2m) PFI toll road project in Italy. Banco Intesa acted as financial adviser.

Addleshaw Goddard (Helen Corner) represented the HSBC-led banking syndicate on the provision of £85m in debt, revolving credit and ancillary facilities to JR Crompton, in part to fund the acquisition of Devon Valley Paper Mill. DLA advised JR Crompton.

Allen & Overy (Tim Scales) represented Credit Lyonnais as sole lead arranger on the €220m (£148.3m) refinancing of the Energy Centre Kladno Generating electric power plant in the Czech Republic. Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer advised Energy Centre Kladno Generating and its owner Aare-Tessin AG fuer Elektrizitaet.
