Field Fisher Waterhouse has shaken up its property practice following a strategic review. The firm has now merged its two former property groups into one. Newly-appointed head of property Moira Gilmour said the divisions, which saw the practice divided into a hotels and leisure group and an industrial group, were largely historic. The new structure creates a single group with strong sector focuses. Gilmore said the key objective for the team at the moment is the protection and consolidation of existing client relationships. "Client care is really top of the agenda," she said. "Not only looking after client needs but also anticipating their needs, so were protecting our clients and giving the best possible service to them." The group has also been making a concerted assault on the retail market since the hire of Edward Bannister from Dechert last year, and is putting considerable resources into strengthening the property finance side.
