Field Fisher partner heads to SNR Denton in wake of public sector cuts

SNR Denton has added to its London technology and outsourcing practice with the hire of Field Fisher Waterhouse (FFW) partner Andrew Lucas, a specialist in public procurement.

Lucas’s exit from FFW follows the firm’s recent decision to cut back its public-sector focus by removing it from its formal list of sector groups (6 August 2012).

It also comes amid merger talks with Osborne Clarke, which emerged in the middle of last month (17 September 2012).

Lucas’s practice covers non-contentious computer matters for a number of clients including government departments on software procurement projects. His start date at SNR Denton has not been confirmed.

He was one of a trio of partners tasked with working on FFW’s plans to revamp its management structure, a review that was completed early this year (19 January 2012).

FFW confirmed his resignation. SNR Denton was unavailable for comment.
