Field Fisher Waterhouse (FFW) has bagged a new client, advising solar power start-up G24 Innovations (G24i) on its first-round venture capital financing. The firm is also advising on the acquisition of IP rights. FFW corporate partner Anthony Brockbank led the G24i team, with corporate partner Neil Foster advising on the acquisition of various patents. Boston firm Sullivan & Worcester is advising the IP vendor Konarka. The Los Angeles office of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham is advising the venture capital firm Renewable Capital. The investment will go towards a factory in South Wales. G24i intends to manufacture lightweight miniature solar panels to power gadgets such as MP3 players and mobile phones.
