Field Fisher Waterhouse's (FFW) burgeoning real estate practice has won an instruction on a key transaction in the Midlands.
The firm represented Croskeep, the property holding company of DRE Group, on the purchase and ongoing management of the Maylord Orchards Shopping Centre in Hereford. Croskeep bought the centre from Prudential Assurance Company.
FFW won the client after advising Croskeep tenant Luminar on a lease negotiation. This is the first major transaction the firm has done for Croskeep.
Real estate partner Denise Sexton led the team, with assistance from real estate partner Jayne Elkins and employment partner Peter Holt, as well as from the firm's corporate department.
Sexton said she was upbeat about the state of the property investment market, adding that the instruction from Croskeep was significant as Maylord Orchards is the biggest shopping centre in Herefordshire.
Prudential was advised by Lovells, led by real estate senior associate Daniel Norris.
