Field Fisher Waterhouse (FFW) has ramped up the hiring spree at its Brussels office, taking an eight-lawyer competition team from US firm McKenna Long & Aldridge.
Partners Koen Van Maldegem, Claudio Mereu and Ruxandra Cana have moved to FFW, bringing with them one of counsel, one consultant and three associates.
Clients coming with them include Orange, Accenture and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
FFW competition head Charles Whiddington said: "This means we can now offer our clients advice from lawyers at the centre of EU regulation."
The rapid expansion of FFW's Brussels office has seen the firm bring in employment partner Oliver Rijckaert from Bird & Bird, corporate partner Marie Evrard from Lawfort and a four-lawyer pensions team from Loyens & Loeff in the past three months alone.
FFW launched its Brussels office in April, taking three partners from former alliance firm Verhaegen Walravens.
