FFW alliance member seals IP/IT merger

Field Fisher Waterhouse's (FFW) Spanish European Legal Alliance member Jiménez de Parga Abogados has merged with IP/IT boutique Sol Muntañola & Asociados.

Sol Muntañola has 10 lawyers spread between offices in Madrid and Barcelona.

The firm's senior partner Mario Sol Muntañola will head the new combined firm's IP/IT practice.

The move boosts the IP and IT capability of FFW's alliance in Spain, and the firm's management in London endorsed the move.

FFW IP head and chairman of the alliance Mark Abell said: "Both Jiménez de Parga and Sol Muntañola are first-rate firms."

The move follows FFW's expansion of its alliance into Poland.

Earlier this month (November), the firm signed up five-partner IP/IT and finance firm Laszczuk & Wspólnicy as an associate member of its alliance.
