Feel the benefit

It seems the little darlings at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer are still upset with the powers that be.
Tulkinghorn was most intrigued to be collared by a Freshfields assistant who was particularly unhappy with the firm's benefits package, including the ominously-titled 'Long Term Incentive Plan'.
Tulkinghorn, being of the era when a nice pot of tea and a cupcake was a major perk, was slightly confused at the benefits on offer nowadays. But our mole tells us that Freshfields' 'Long Term Incentive Plan' “has always been much ridiculed”. He goes on: “Its value to assistants has constantly been overstated. The benefits statement included the value of points awarded two years ago. Funny that. I recall when the points were granted, I was told that I should take them into account when valuing my package. Two years later, I am to take them into account once again. How many times does the HR department think that they can convince us that we've earned the same wretched points?”
