Canadian firm Fasken Martineau DuMoulin has secured its second merger in as many months after agreeing terms with Ottawa-based Johnston & Buchan.
The deal comes six weeks after Fasken sealed its merger with London-based Stringer Saul which created the first full-service Canadian-UK law firm.
Johnston & Buchan is a 13-lawyer firm focused primarily on communications law. It also has a growing trade law practice, which includes agricultural trade law, import and export controls, and advising clients on WTO and NAFTA related issues.
