Farrer & Co has promoted four associates to its partnership, double the amount of promotions it made last year.
This year’s promotions are spread across the corporate, family, private property and private client teams.
Senior partner Robert Clinton said: "The challenges in terms of attracting the best talent within the legal sector have been well documented. We’re delighted that the team we’re building for tomorrow combines the best from our internal promotions and the ideas brought in by our new partners who have joined us recently from outside the practice."
David Fletcher (corporate), Claire Gordon (family), Paul Krafft (private property) and Sarah von Schmidt (private client) will become partners on 1 May 2007.
Fletcher will be working with new partner Simon Graham, who joined from O'Melveny & Myers at the end of March to develop the banking and restructuring practice.
While the firm made only two partner promotions last year, it made seven the year before, but just one in 2004-05.
