Farrer & Co has become the first firm to announce its summer 2012 newly qualified (NQ) retention rate.
The firm has revealed it is keeping 100 per cent of its September qualifying trainees, holding on to all 10.
The result is a boost from last year’s figures where the firm held onto nine out of 10 trainee solicitors for its September 2011 intake, giving it a rate of 90 per cent.
The recent result marks a 96 per cent NQ retention rate over the last five years for the London-based firm.
The news follows Farrers recognition in The Times graduate employer of choice for law survey for the first time (29 March 2012 http://l2b.thelawyer.com/ao-tops-ranks-as-best-graduate-employer/1012003.article).
It was accompanied with three other new entries; Berwin Leighton Paisner, White & Case and the Crown Prosecution Service.
