Exchange on course to match 2008 revenue

North West set Exchange Chambers has posted a turnover of £9.19m in the first six months of the 2008-09 financial year.

This tops last year’s half-year figure of £8.7m and suggests that the set is on target to match last year’s turnover of £18m, which was an increase of almost 10 per cent on the previous year.

Director of chambers Tom Handley said he was “very satisfied” with the results, adding: “With less publicly funded work and a difficult economic climate to compete with this is a very credible performance. The bar is continuing to work out its place in the new legal landscape and it’s more important than ever to attract the highest quality barristers and the highest quality work.”
