Charles Chruszcz QC of 28 St John Street, Manchester, has upped sticks to Exchange Chambers in Liverpool.
The fraud, personal injury and clinical negligence specialist joins the now 60-strong set, alongside eight commercial and chancery barristers who defected from St James’s Chambers last month.
Taking up residence as of today (March 26) and based in Liverpool and Manchester, Chruszcz’s presence will add weight to the chambers’ increasingly commercial profile.
Chruszcz says he is sad to leave 28 St John Street, where he has practised for 28 years since joining as a pupil to Charles Bloom. However, he adds: “I was anxious, in the changing climate, that I went to a set of chambers that complimented my practice.”
He says of his new set: “They are now going to be a true NorthWest set because they span two premier cities - Liverpool and Manchester. It’s a perfect springing-off point, not only to get work, but also to go and do it.”
