Exchange Chambers christens bumper year with mass hire

Liverpool set Exchange Chambers is continuing to grow with the arrival of four new tenants, including a former Clifford Chance lawyer.

The mass hire is announced as the set, which also has a Manchester annexe, reports a 9 per cent increase in turnover to £13m for the last financial year.

Scott Redpath, who joins Exchange Chambers from Clifford Chance, is the first pensions barrister to become a member of the bar’s Northern Circuit, an area which spans Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester. Redpath initially qualified as a barrister in 1996 before practising at Hammonds followed by Clifford Chance.

The other arrivals are commercial litigation specialist Dr Digby Jess, who joins from 8 King Street chambers in Manchester, crime barrister Rachael Woods from Manchester’s Queens Chambers and personal injury specialist Chris Barnes from India Buildings in Liverpool.
