Eversheds" />McGrigors’ former managing partner, Colin Gray, has left the firm for a role at Eversheds, where he will be joined by McGrigors banking partner Colin McKay.
Gray led McGrigors for two four-year terms, initially as chief operating officer of KPMG tie-up KLegal, then as managing partner of McGrigors when the tie-up was dissolved.
He joins Eversheds’ London office as a corporate partner and will specialise in M&A.
During his time as McGrigors’ managing partner, Gray was based in the firm’s London office. Since passing the management role to Richard Masters at the beginning of April he has been based in Glasgow.
McKay, who divided his time between Edinburgh and London while at McGrigors, will also work out of Eversheds’ London office. A banking partner, he specialises in real estate finance.
McGrigors and Eversheds have enjoyed a close relationship for some time, leading to speculation about a potential merger.
However both sides refute any claims that a merger has ever been scheduled.
