Ex-Links partner takes on advisory role at Spring Law

Former Linklaters emerging markets head Nick Eastwell has added another string to his bow with an appointment to West End firm Spring Law.

Eastwell joins the firm in an advisory role and will combine this with duties at a City recruitment firm and the SRA as well as responsibilities at Linklaters’ central and eastern European spin-off firm Kinstellar.
The senior City lawyer left the magic circle firm in October 2009 after 27 years, which ended with a stint running Linklaters’ emerging markets practice (19 October 2009).
He now works as a consultant to Kinstellar, which was established in 2008 and has a presence in Belgrade, Bratislava, Bucharest, Budapest, Istanbul and Prague.
He also has a role as chief adviser to City law firms at the SRA, as the organisation moves to address recommendations made by Nick Smedley’s damning report into how the profession is policed (18 October 2010).
He also has a role at recruitment agency SR Search, where he advises on client matters and business opportunities (1 March 2010).
