Ex-Lastminute in-houser joins 'virtual law firm'

The former legal director of Lastminute.com David Hickson (left) has joined The Legal Desk, which describes itself as a "new virtual law firm". Hickson was Lastminute.com's lawyer for five years. He said he was attracted by the firm's technology-led delivery of advice and the strategy of only recruiting former in-house lawyers. The Legal Desk was founded last year by former BT in-house lawyers Alyson Jackson and Tara Trower. Its lawyers work from home in various locations throughout the UK. Matt Byrne
