Ex-Coca-Cola counsel emerges at Aids charity

The Former legal chief at The Coca-Cola Company Paul Meadows has taken the top legal role at the International HIV/Aids Alliance two years after leaving the soft drinks giant.

Meadows spent 10 years at Coca-Cola, serving as vice-president of corporate affairs for the two years before he left in 2007. He was previously head of legal and company secretary.

Eva Bishop, who recently joined whisky-maker Will-iam Grant & Sons as global general counsel, took over as legal chief from Meadows.

At the International HIV/Aids Alliance Meadows, who has been on a round-the-world trip since leaving Coca-Cola, will lead a four-strong team focusing on legal, risk and compliance. He will be the only qualified lawyer.

Meadows said he had been interested in the ­charity sector for some time, having served on the board of the Terrence Higgins Trust for five years.
