Richard Gitlin (left), the former senior partner with US firm Bingham McCutchen, has been appointed by Nomura International to advise the investment bank on growing the number of Japanese corporate restructurings. Gitlin, a world-renowned workout and restructuring specialist, who is best known for his role as the US administrator on the US-UK bankruptcy of Maxwell Communication Corp, will act as a senior strategic adviser to Nomura through his newly established venture, Gitlin & Company.
